For me basically hip hop is a form of expression, a medium of conversating in a certain style and artform. A way of living more of a culture rather. Its more than just the music, its more than what u see on tv on a daily basis. Its divided into various certain elements being, emceeing, dj-ing, b-boying, knowledge of self and graffiti. First though that comes to mind to me whenever somebody mentions the word hip hop, freedom, happy ppl, educational, people, music, everyday life....and so forth. Halla baq!!! *

If u go strictly into the two words ..hip..meaning fashionable..and hop..meaning a journey over a short distance...now how abstract is those meanings,i think those two meanings somehow do apply to all category's of hip hop *
